Seafood Summit 2008

Global Challenges, Local Solutions

Barcelona, Spain
January 27 - 30, 2008

From January 27-30, Seafood Choices Alliance's Seafood Summit 2008 "Global Challenges, Local Solutions" brought together over 350 representatives from 35 countries attended the three-day conference, making it the most diverse and well-attended Summit ever.

While many trade shows offer companies networking opportunities to showcase their products and services, Seafood Summit is the only venue that connects large and small companies from a diverse array of industries with leaders from the conservation community to bridge the gap between the latest science and the reality of the seafood marketplace.

This page and related links will provide you with much of the information from Seafood Summit 2008, including presentations and program information. For further questions, please email SeafoodSummit (at) seafoodchoices (dot) org.

We present a putative framework to assess data - not the data itself. During the next stage we will pursue the best data available to construct a verifiable, defendable tool. At this point the input data, data sources and targets are presented only as exemplars (restricted to the ecological dimension only) in order to facilitate the examination of the analytical framework and should not be interpreted as research results
